THROWBACK THURSDAY Decade of Dominance – I met Jim Kelly in 1996 a few years after he retired from the NFL. His son Hunter had a rare disease, Jim and his wife Jill started a foundation to raise money and awareness for this devastating illness. Jim asked had me paint an original pieces of art during his annual golf tournaments and fund raising events. The paintings were auctioned off an the end of the evening and signed by the players featured on the canvas. Over 15 years working the the Kelly Team and Hunter’s Hope we raise over $100,000 from these portraits. This was the last painting I created showing all 4 Hall of Fame Bills players: Andre Reed, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas and Jim Kelly.
